High Q Resonances in a Metallically Coated Wave-Chaotic Microcavity

چکیده
Optical resonances of a metallically coated wave-chaotic microcavity are investigated. Mode with low-contrast quality factor and distinct field patterns demonstrated. Unlike the in dielectric chaotic-wave cavity where refractive escape leads high optical loss, hold factors low loss induced by metal dissipation. As potential application, could be used for semiconductor laser source dense modes lasing accordingly spatial coherent emission.
